Stop. Pause. Stop

Amidst the mist

When hopping realities churning out grilling you

Drills you do

The frills you do!

A fancy scarlet stone that shines

A mind of your own if it can opine

Lumps in your throats to tell the truth

Cant you battle a fight within?

Will you follow or rather be followed?

Don't you know you will surrender?

You are aware that you will fall

the unbeaten will beat you apart.

You dare to differ

I dare to beg!

I think that I dared

or I think I dare!!!

If only I had dared....

Gladly yours!- The Lonavala Bang!

Gladly yours my Life

I am glad i do give you some time.

So yes, of all that I have to narrate and that which which would be most informative, would have to be one of the most amazing trips I have made(@made as yet, not many:P)

So me and my friends, booked the tickets in advance from Thane to Lonavala. There are various trains with comfortable timings and the journey spans from 1 and half to 2 hours.

It's always better to get on the earliest train to enjoy the scenics on the way whcih surely is an icing. If you are teh adventurous sorts, get on the door of the train with your camera and get the glimpses of what's in store for you.

If your train happens to halt at Karjat(another hill station you might want to explore) do grab a wada pav for breakfast!

We got off teh station only to be greeted by the raingods, which seem to be more than eager to accompany us for the rest of the trip.

As soon as you get off the Railway station, you would find loads of autos flooding!

We set off to the Karla Caves, tucked away about 4-5 kms from the station. It cost us Rs.125.

The auto fares are mostly fixed, however you would like to ask atleast 2-3 autowalas.

Do check the history before hitting to the Karla caves, it might just make your trip a little more interesting. WIth a Goddess temple mounted on the way, be assured to find a goat or two your way ready to be slaughtered. We literally ran at the sight.

The caves are about 350 steps climb, which is not tedious at all, owing to the beauty factor which more or less keeps you distracted!!! To boost your energy, have the hot Makka Bhuttas on the way and do not forget to ask him to sprinkle zada masala!!!!

We then headed for the Valvan dam, a neat one at that. Just about 4 Km from the station, its decked with artistic and well maintained lush gardens. This dam is built on the scenic Valvan Lake. It is a quite a sight. But I must confess, I couldn't figure where the dam was!!

From Valvan, we took an auto, and worked a deal so he would take us to the Tiger/Lion Point and then the Bushy Dam and drop us back at the station. We shelled out Rs.300.

The Tiger Point/ Lion Point is an absolute delight if you want to walk through the smoky clouds and moist the dust off you. With the steep curves and disciplined traffic, we literllay drove into a fog where you can hardly see! at this high altitude as much as yuou would like to take a peep the clouds get in your way!!!

The Bushy dam might be a pleasant one but had to give it a miss owing to the crowd that you would find on weekends mostly. Do not be surprised to see young men flocking on the streets losing it.

However, with loads of time on hands, we set off to explore the so known! At most junctures, you would be pleasantly greeted with streams running down the rock where the waterfalls may have lost the way. We halted at just one of these and were pretty amused at the ease and convenience of the little waterfall a.k.a stream just by the road.

By the time we were done with out Chikki shopping, it was time to get on the train!!!

So tip: DO CARRY YOU RAIN GEAR!

SHOPPING FACTOR : The Maganlal Chikki shop is a must go to! If i were to suggest..the Crush, Regular Groundnut, and the Coconut Chikki are sure to tickle those tastebuds. The jelly chocolates are just about passable and missable, but DO NOT miss the Chocolate fudge.

FOODY ME: Lonavala Makka Bhuttas are a must, they actully melt in your mouth. Kaliash Parvat offers a decent meal and if you are going totally economical, then there are eating joints by the roadside.

THE MISS: Well, considering it being a hill station and loads of tourists combing the place, this place lacks the basic facilties of toilets, medical shops and phone booths. You will find them only in the city but most of the tourist spots are atleast a few kms away.

ACTUAL FACTUALLY: Lonavala is 64 kms away from Pune and about 95 km from Mumbai.

And Once upon a time i guess...

I were a little girl....

and as most tales told me so..

i behold too close to know.....

only that may be or may be not....

i will live happily ever after...

but surely now...

the tales i sing....

tell me of the days to bring....

i will worry happily ever after...

of wrinkles of cupboards...

of files of figures....

the tales i dread...

i will wonder happily ever after...

of clouds of fields....

of hands clutching seals....

the tales i see

i will look happily ever after....

of happiness of love...

of rains of mud....

the tales i desire...

i will wish happily ever after...

of laughter of breads..

of home of threads....

the tales i think...

and i ponder happily ever after..

of yonder of surprise...

of dumb of wise...

the tales i write...

and i know i will write happily ever after......
